What is B Corp?

B Corporation, or B Corp for short, is a private certification for profit companies that evaluates the company's social and environmental practices. It certifies companies that meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose.

The prestigious B Corp certification is part of our sustainability and inclusion roadmap. As a B Corp certified company, we are committed to social value and environmental sustainability. Through the strict certification process, we show you, our customers and other companies that we are committed to a values-oriented corporate culture.

A long road to happiness

The certification process includes a management tool provided by B-Lab that is used by over 50,000 companies worldwide to help them assess their impact on various stakeholders, including their employees, the community, customers and the environment.

On this platform we had to dive deep into our processes, deliver documents and assess where we stood on each topic. We answered approximately 200 questions across five key impact areas: governance, employees, community, environment and customers.

WE ARE PROUD TO BE ONE OF THE FIRST FASHION COMPANIES TO RECEIVE THIS AWARD IN GERMANY. THE CERTIFICATION PROCESS HAS ONCE AGAIN MADE IT CLEAR HOW IMPORTANT THE MEASURES WE HAVE BEEN PURSUING SINCE THE BEGINNING, WHICH ARE NOT ONLY FOR OUR DIRECT STAKEHOLDERS, BUT ALSO FOR OUR ENVIRONMENT. THIS ACHIEVEMENT REINFORCES OUR CORE VALUES, BUT WE KNOW THERE IS STILL MORE WORK TO BE DONE.

Our Result

A minimum of 80 points is required, with each question providing a breakdown of the points you can receive as a company depending on your business practices. In the end we completed with 124.1 points.

We did the best in Governance, Customers and Community. Mostly, we need to improve our practices in Environment and Workers. We are working on that.

We are the highest rated B Corp company in all of Germany !

What happens next?

However, certification is just the beginning. This achievement reinforces our core values, but we know there is still more work to be done. In order to maintain B Corp certification, actions must continue and progress must be made. We are re-evaluated every 3 years. We are constantly working on innovative solutions to minimize energy and water consumption in production and to implement new sustainable materials. Work is being done on further processing practices and consistent improvements to the climate-neutral supply chain. And the fight for equality and the basic right to education has been at the core of our company since its founding. We have just launched a cooperation with the renowned industry magazine TextilWirtschaft, in which we are donating 30% of sales to our AMN School. Purchasing a bag provides one year of education for a child in Pakistan. We are happy to actively choose for a fairer world every day.

    100% of the leather we work with is LWG certified and is therefore sourced responsibly. We offer products that are manufactured according to environmentally best practices.

    All our suppliers hold LWG certification, which was awarded after rigorous assessment of their own environmental performance in the respective country.
